Brookfield Zoo

We love going to the zoo!  It's so much fun with a little one especially one who's fascinated by animals.  I'm so glad I get to experience the world through my little girl's eyes!

I was actually trying to get a nice picture of her and Chris.  Well I didn't get the nice Daddy - Daughter picture I was hoping for, but Chris did get an ear full from Sarah!

This bear was hilarious.  He swam the same pattern over and over.  We later found out he was rescued as a cub in Alaska with his sibling.  They were found eating out of a garbage can.  How lucky are they to have such a nice place to live!

I can't wait to go back for Dino Nites in October!

A replica of a life size Leatherback Sea Turtle.  This one's for you Grandma!

Notice the little girl next to Sarah is holding a book in her hand.  The penguins, especially the one in the picture, would move it's head from side to side just as if he was reading the book.  If he didn't like the page he would peck the window.  He didn't like it when the little girl took the book away.  And guess what?  It was a book about penguins!

She said she needed to rest a little!

A mommy peacock and her babies.

My handsome hubby!

We took a picture with this kangaroo last year.  It's amazing how much she's grown in a year.  I think you can find the picture under Sept. 2008.  She had such a baby face!

I am so jealous of your zoo. We have a really pathetic one here.
