We had an extension of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend today. Chris found out last week that he has 42 hours of vacation/personal time to use before the end of the year. He took today off and it was a nice addition to the long weekend.
Sarah was super excited to have her daddy drop her off to school. We had a nice mini date during the 2.5 hour preschool morning. We enjoyed pastries and coffee at Panera, a trip to Menard's (such a man thing to do on your off day), and a quick trip to Target all before school let out. I really enjoyed my morning with him. I didn't realize how little time we do get to spend together since I went back to work three years ago. It's nice having this time together since he will not be able to go to Alabama for Christmas since he's in so much pain.
Speaking of his pain, he had an MRI this afternoon. Hopefully the answers are definitive and will lead to quick action, but not before he uses up those vacation hours!
Tomorrow it's back to reality around here!
