Easter was so lovely this year! I love it when the weather is beautiful on a holiday. We spent the day together just the three of us. I made a crock pot roast and veggies so I could enjoy the afternoon hunting eggs with Sarah. That was my intentions. I really came home from church and took a nice long nap! We stayed up too late the night before and I woke up super early to have a hearty breakfast ready plus prep the roast and chop the veggies all before church!
That silly Easter Bunny hid Sarah's basket really well this year. She checked behind the chair which is her hiding spot and was surprised when she didn't find the basket waiting there. She spotted it really quickly on her way to look in the kitchen. He had hidden the basket under the bird's cage!
Chris and Sarah decorated a few more eggs while I prepared breakfast. It was a fun laid back morning.
A lady (second grandma in command) my mother-in-law works with sent Sarah these adorable egg decorations. The egg in the middle is the one she created. It has a beautiful blonde braid across the top!
She was pretending to swing over a pond full of alligators!
The day ended with many eggs hidden and found, yummy food shared and consumed, and most importantly the reason for it all: a risen Savior was remembered and worshiped.
The Holy Spirit is definitely at work in Sarah. She watched every minute of the two hour Easter Passion Play at church. She's constantly asking me to tell her more about God. While having our taxes done, she drew a picture of Jesus on the cross. "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Mark 10:14
