Halloween was super fun this year! I think every year is better than the last. This year was a little different with Chris being out of town and Sarah in school. We missed out on some of the activities from recent years. We did have a lot of fun.
Earlier in the month, Sarah had a school Halloween Bash. I dressed as a witch per her request. She had a lot of fun and danced the whole time! I didn't want to lug my Cannon with me so I took a smaller one and the batteries died after just one picture.
She chose to be Merida from the new Disney movie Brave. I loved the huge, curly, red wig! It was a bonus that it kept her head warm while trick-or-treating. This year she wanted to go to more houses. She was all about getting candy at first. Then after her typical amount of houses, she just wanted to walk around. She was excited to get home and hand out candy.
I can't believe how brave she is at such a young age. She loved all the spooky music and movies. Every grocery trip to Target included a tour of the Halloween section to play with the skeletons. She must get this from her Aunts!
Pumpkin carving didn't go so well this year. We gutted the pumpkin just fine. However the Little Mermaid design was too tricky. I gave it a good try for two hours! We had fun trying.
