My Half Birthday

Today is Sarah's half (6 month) birthday. We decided to celebrate this day and be thankful for the blessings we have experienced since Sarah came into our lives. First of all, we are grateful to God that He has allowed us to be Sarah's parents. All the struggles that we experienced in acheiving a successful pregnancy remind me daily how truly blessed we are to have her.

Today is a milestone for me in that I am continuing and still able to nurse Sarah. The first few weeks were very trying. Many times I wanted to give up. Thanks to my nursing group, I have the support to be able to continue nursing. We believe this is one of the greatest gifts we can give her at this critical time of her life. I understand not all mom's can continue to nurse. I am grateful to Chris for providing me the ability to stay home and be able to nurse.

She was really cranky right before our friends were coming over. I completely forgot to get a picture of her with the cake. I guess it's better late than never!
