Sarah's First Christmas

We made the annual Christmas journey back home to Alabama. Sarah traveled very well for being in the car so long. Thankfully we were home for 12 days, so that made the travel there and back a lot easier.

Sarah made out like a bandit this year for Christmas. It was so much fun to see the magic of Christmas through your child's eyes. A few days before Christmas, someone wished me a Merry Christmas and said they hoped I got all I wanted. I thanked them and told them that I already had!

I was a little surprised to hear her giggle when she opened her presents. She had so much fun tearing paper.

Grandma & Grandpa (Chris' mom & step dad) built Sarah this rocking chair. She can sit in it very well!

Chris & I were so busy enjoying watching Sarah open her gifts that we forgot to take pictures of her with her family. We did squeeze in a few with us though.

Chris' Uncle Jimmy gave Sarah this Pooh Bear. She LOVES it. I put it in the crib with her and sometimes during a nap or early in the morning I hear her playing with it. It only plays for a few seconds then turns itself off if she quits playing.

Sarah's cousin Zoey got this cute rocking horse for Christmas. It's tail even wags! Sarah was just checking it out. She's a wee bit too little for a rocking horse.

This is Sarah with her Great Grandmother Honeybun. She has dementia and alzheimers. She would tell me that Sarah is too pretty to be a boy. I think she was just joking, but I would tell her it's a good thing she's too pretty to be a boy since she's a girl! She had a great time banging on pots and pans at her house!

You will treasure that picture with Sarah and Honeybun. Isn't so fun to have kids for Christmas? I'm glad she loves her train, so does Brennon (and Katelynn of course).
