Sarah has an active imagination & loves to play pretend. Case in point, she likes to play
hide 'n seek while strapped in her car seat. She simply covers her eyes so that she's hiding. I certainly can't do much searching while driving the car, so I changed the words to the song "Oh Where, Oh Where has My Little Dog Gone" (I'm not sure that's the title!) Anyway, it goes something like this:
"Oh where, oh where has my little girl gone?
Oh where, oh where can she be?
With her eyes so blue and her hair so blonde
Oh where, oh where can she be?"
Then she uncovers here eyes and proclaims "Here I am Mommy!"
This afternoon, Chris, Sarah, and I are loaded up in the truck. Sarah wants to play hide 'n seek. Since I'm not driving she ask me to hide. Then the sweetest little voice that still fills my heart and brings tears to my eyes sings our hide 'n seek song. That folks was the cherry on top of my day!
(Sarah flying like a bird. Maybe one that was just shoved from the nest!)

I found part of this poem the other day and I thought it was fitting for the way I feel and this post:
The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow,
For children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down cobwebs. Dust go to sleep.
I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.
For children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down cobwebs. Dust go to sleep.
I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.

I love it! These moments are so precious and I'm glad you are writing it down so you can always remember. She is such a blessing and I am sad I can only watch her grow from afar. What a sweet girl!
