Scarecrow Festival

Last weekend we went to the Scarecrow Festival in St. Charles.  It was so much fun!  There was so much to do.  Unfortunately we didn't get there in time to do or see it all.  I really hope we can do it again next year!

My family as scarecrows!  Pretty scarry huh?
The had a booth with fresh, HOT, cookies.  We spent most of our ticket money designated for rides on a bag of these cookies.  Sarah really enjoyed them.

Since I've never been to the festival before, I was imagining we would see the standard scarecrows.  I was surprised to see all the different ways people and business made scarecrows. Below are my favorites from the day.
The Three Little Pigs & The Big Bad Wolf.  It won one of the categories.  Sarah went right up to the wolf & shook his hand!

We had just watched Shrek earlier that day. This was made by teenagers from a local high school & it won for their category.
Of course there were carnival rides.  I'm sure Sarah will be a thrill seeker like me.  Only roller coasters may not be her cup of tea yet.  She's all happy in the first picture, a little scared in the second, and not very happy in the last.
