We have lived here for 10 years this March & this was our first Chicago blizzard. Chris & I experienced a blizzard in Alabama of all places in 1993. This was more of a thunder snow storm than I remember in 93. The winds were crazy all night long. I stayed up late watching & listening. I really like stormy weather. It was fun trying to take pictures, but a little difficult to capture the fury of the storm.
The wind was blowing the snow so hard it came in under the garage door & along the sides. It was pretty cool to see it stick to the cob webs. I should have taken a picture earlier before they were so heavy with snow. I guess when spring gets here, we have some cleaning to do!
The winds broke our street lamp.
The dogs were not happy that they couldn't go outside this morning. Chris had to go to work. Crazy I know since he isn't a police officer, firefighter, EMT, or medical personnel. Who ask their employees to be in by 7 AM after a blizzard of possible historic proportions? Anyway, he went, couldn't get into the parking lot & was sent home. Thankfully he made it there & home safely considering it is February.
So excited to get outside!

So Crazy!! We really enjoyed your pics. We had an ice storm and are still stuck at home too. This looks really fun though. I'm a little bummed I missed it. Hope you have fun and take her sledding! Thanks for a fabulous weekend!
Absolutely incredible! It's just so hard to imagine that kind of snow!
I hope my country also got snow <3 =/
